Auto Repair Reviews

Customer Testimonials

“Whether it is my 1965 Corvair, 1972 Stingray, or 2003 Mazda 6, Ken and Eric are the only ones I trust working on my cars. Their knowledge is extensive, their service is top-notch, and their prices are fair. In fact, the Mazda dealer recently wanted to charge me more than $1000 for service; Ken and Eric did it for a fraction of that! They are honest, get the work done efficiently, and do it right the first time! Try them out, you will not be disappointed!”

“My fuel pump died on Wednesday afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving. I called Community Auto Repair since they are 5 blocks from my office. Ken and Eric were there with in 10 minutes and they towed my car back to their shop. Both stayed late on the day before Thanksgiving to fix my car, and they did it at a competitive price. It’s hard to find such good service these days and I would recommend them to anyone.”

“I have known and watched and paid many guys in the car and truck repair business around Denver for many years. Kenny Kacsh is as good a “wrench” as there is. He is also knowledgeable, fair, friendly, creative, honest, and does what he says he will do. From an old Volvo to the collector car or a brand new computerized Big Truck, Kenny can fix ’em, start ’em and make ’em run better than when they were new. Rely on Kenny & Eric. You can’t go wrong.”

“We were driving from Grand Junction to Buffalo, WY pulling a trailer to pick up a part when steam started coming out from under my hood when I stopped in Denver to spend the night before going on to Buffalo. We started calling all the repair shops listed on my Garmin. As this was a Saturday in January, most were closed for the weekend. I was so lucky to find Community Auto Repair was open and willing to look at my car to diagnose the problem. They found that the Intake Manifold Gasket was blown. This was a major repair so I had to consult my husband before such a large expense. They did not pressure me to make this decision hastily and Ken visited with my husband explaining the problem to him. I rented a Uhaul truck to continue to Buffalo to pick up the part with the understanding that my car would be finished on Monday. Ken estimated it would take most of the day to complete the job but called me at 1:00pm Monday to let me know the job was complete and everything was ok. I arranged an after-hours pick up and drove to Grand Junction that night pulling my trailer with the part from Buffalo. We had no problems whatsoever on the way home. When I stopped to fill up the window washer fluid before tackling the high mountain passes, I found they had also cleaned all the antifreeze off the engine, leaving it beautifully clean. Thank you to Ken, Eric and Lisa for all your help and good work.”

“We made it home and had a great Christmas. We can’t thank you enough forgoing way above the call of duty to help us out. Car problems on a Friday night in Denver 400 miles away from home is a real adventure. We had a GPS and were able to find phone numbers for a lot of car service places and we called probably 20 people before we got Eric. The people we called included dealerships and service guys close to DU where we were stranded. The responses to us from all of these guys ranged from wishing us good luck to one guy laughing and telling us he could get to us on Tuesday, maybe. Then we got Eric. He was polite and talked us through the immediate problem and said he would wait for us to come by his shop because he was afraid our problem was one that could leave us stranded in short order. We went to his shop and it was the problem he thought it might be. Not only did they sacrifice their Friday evening to help us out, they also let us borrow their shop car for the night. The next morning they were able to get the alternator and fixed our car and it got us home and it has run fine since. The people at Community Auto Repair are not only good at what they do, they are also good people and I can’t recommend them enough. Thanks again ………..Qualls family”
“Thank you so much for getting my old Cadillac running like a champ! She really gets up and goes, and purrs like a kitten now. Before long she’ll be like brand new.” Thanks again, and I look forward to sending you lots of referrals.”

“Community Auto Repair is true to it’s name. You walk in and are met by the staff who honestly listen to your needs. They are not the typical franchise repair shop. They are not out to meet sales quota’s. Instead they are about explaining the best economical and safest way to get your vehicle back on the road. I operate a landscaping business and have been very dependent on Community Auto Repair for our trucks. They have kept our trucks running to keep your yards beautiful.”

“Ken has been repairing my 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche since shortly after I purchased it in 2005 with 70,000 miles. My truck now has 270,000 miles, it looks good and runs well and that was only possible because Ken (Community Auto Repair) has been the mechanic. He is as smart as they come and understands what needs to be done and what does not need to be done and is about the most honest person you will ever meet. When my truck hit about 150,000 miles I was considering a new purchase and Ken encouraged me to keep it because he had experienced these trucks running well for many more miles. Just that advice along with his commitment to his trade has saved me probably $20,000 by running my truck for another 120,000 miles. Hands down Community Auto Repair is the best shop I have ever known.”

“I had some problems with my 2001 Chevy Prizm. When I described the symptoms to Ken – the owner of Community Auto Repair, he thought that warped front disc brakes were causing the vibrations in my steering and that the very sluggish braking required an adjustment in the rear drum brakes. I made an appointment and was admitted promptly at the appointed time, Nick did the work – examining the brakes, quickly confirming Ken’s diagnosis, ordering the parts – which were promptly delivered, and installing them carefully and efficiently. Donna – the office manager – was busy yet helpful with my questions. During the brief hour it took for the work to be completed, I saw how busy they were and how hard they worked. The price I paid was quite reasonable and – more important – my brakes now work perfectly; I feel much safer now. It’s good to know that there’s a place like Community Auto Repair – run by people I can trust.”
